Nightfall is a Chrome extension that provides adjustable dark mode for websites.
Information used and stored
Nightfall reads website URLs to determine which dark-mode settings to apply. It stores website hostnames and their enabled or disabled preferences locally in your browser, along with your selected mode and brightness settings.
Nightfall does not maintain a log of visited pages or visit timestamps. It does not collect page text, document contents, emails, passwords, or form entries.
How information is used
This information is used solely to apply dark mode and remember your preferences across tabs, visits, and browser restarts.
Storage and sharing
Settings are stored using Chrome’s local extension storage. They are not synced by Nightfall or transmitted to the developer or third parties.
Nightfall has no analytics, advertising, tracking, or external services. It does not sell or share user data.
Preferences remain in your browser until the extension’s stored data is cleared or Nightfall is uninstalled. Disabling the extension does not delete its settings.
Chrome Web Store Limited Use
Nightfall’s use of information complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Information is used only to provide Nightfall’s dark-mode functionality.
Changes
This policy will be updated if Nightfall’s data practices change.
